LEARNED EMPATHY “HOW TO TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF THROUGH UNDERSTANDING OTHERS”

Objective: Focused on the clinician, this program educates the practitioner on how to better evaluate who they are via the relationship with those for whom they work

Summary: Through education via psychodynamic literature the practitioner will identify the interplay in the relational dyad that can be leverage to better take care of themselves and thereby feel more satisfied in their work and relationships.

ETHICAL DECISION MAKING

Objective: Presentation on how a consumer directed model can assist practitioners to develop an aligned relationship with their patients/clients so that ethical decisions are made by informed clients.

Course Summary: Review of Consumer directed model main dimensions and its impact on consumer directed services. Educate on how the role of helper requires a paradigm that gives power back to patients and decisions makers when faced with tough ethical choices.
